My apologies for the lack of an update last week and for only a character pin-up of a character you haven't met yet. JJ is trying to recover 60 pages of Anathema from a file corruption as well as catching up on the Lounge strips. So until he's feeling a little less burnt out from recoloring 60 + pages, I'll try to provide a pin-up. But have no fear, I can draw things that do not burn your eyes (I hope). o.o Please bare with us. Also my husband and brother are returning from deployment to Iraq as well as... Otakon! So yeah, I am gonna be busy as well. But you will get pin-ups... I swear. o.o

Added a link to Planet Exile and to Petfinder (Give a Homeless animal a home!) today.

My friend, Brian brought to my attention that he was a little confused about why Ananga and Caitlin were "talking" on Page 10 after Ananga mentioned to Merrick that talking was a very bad thing to do! Well, this isn't true at all, they are using telepathy and are thus speaking in each others' minds. Anything you folks see without the nice little arrow thing attached to the speech bubble or with the grey speech bubble border is meant to be interpreted as telepathy.

"Why not use the < and > symbols?" You might ask- these usually denote that something is being spoken in another language and is being translated to English for viewer understanding. Since this is not the case, we have chosen to not use them.

For reclarification:

Grey border around a white speech bubble = telepathy.

< or > Symbols mean that someone is speaking in another language.

Linked Conscrew today and added the link to the temporary home for comic discussion until we get a large enough fanbase to warrant moving from the Lounge Forums.

I will be adding the cast page as well as more background information as the story progresses to keep down the spoiler factor that source information gives. I also intend on providing a bibliography of sorts for some of the books I have been using to pull some of my ideas and information from- but being as this is not a book report, you will not find everything I use in those books. ;p I also make up stuff as I go along. Also, this comic will not always be work safe so it will not always be the best idea to check out the latest strip from there or school. - Kim
